Learn More About Our Work…
Wichita Birth Justice Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization focused on leading community-driven efforts to reduce racial disparities in maternal and infant mortality. Our strategy addresses the crisis of racial disparities in maternal and infant health from multiple angles. We know that the only way to realize lasting change in our community is by creating a sustainable multi-generational movement for change. To this end, we advocate for systems-level change that advances the cause of birth equity; we serve and support parents and babies of color to improve their prospects for living full, healthy lives; and we work actively to increase representation of Black, Indigenous and Latino individuals in birth professions. Together, we can create a future in which Black and Brown parents and babies are no longer disproportionately likely to die or suffer from medical complications.
