We’re working in our community to help ensure that more Black and brown moms and babies make it through pregnancy and birth healthy and thriving, but we need your help! Current opportunities to get involved are listed below. Thank you in advance for sharing your time and talents!
We’re building a dream team of dedicated birth doulas to serve families in Wichita’s urban core. Our doulas will be the boots on the ground that help families of color have empowering, equitable births. Are you interested in birth and have a passion for seeing to it that people are treated fairly? Do you want to serve your community while also being paid a fair market rate for your work? Our doula team might be a good fit for you! Applications for this opportunity and training details can be found here: https://wichitabirthjusticesociety.org/calling-all-future-doulas/

We’re opening an advocacy and information hotline for parents of color in the Wichita area. The hotline will connect parents with informational support and real-time advocacy in an effort to ensure that their rights are respected and they have all the information needed to have a safe, healthy pregnancy and childbirth.
If you are a person of color living in the Wichita area who has experience in advocacy, health care or social work and you have a passion for supporting our community’s families, we need you!
